Radiation Safety Officer Services

Could you use a temporary RSO to provide services until you hire and train a new one?

The Radiation Safety Academy’s certified health physicists are available to help you when you might need a Radiation Safety Officer (RSO). Our staff has served as temporary RSO’s to help companies during times when the previous RSO had left and one was needed for a short period of time. Our years of experience working for NRC and State licensees, coupled with certification by the American Board of Health Physics, makes us qualified to help you during these times of change.

We will provide on-site coverage when needed, oversee the radiation safety program and assure it is implemented, provide consultation and training to your workers, and assist in radiation emergencies should one arise. We will conduct required radiation safety surveys, assure that radiation detection instruments are appropriately calibrated, manage and dispose of radioactive wastes, and keep all records required by your regulatory agency.
