Comprehensive coverage of all aspects of radiation safety, especially as it applies to the duties/knowledge base of the RSO. This course is very informative on all the subjects needed. I moved into my position from the floor (production). Some of the material was over my head as far as experience but the teachers helped to put it in layman’s terms and explained all the subjects with patients and understanding. You will cover a lot of material but it’s necessary to get it all in. The whole staff was very friendly and supportive of any questions or concerns that came up.

With little prior education and training in ionizing radiation this course provided good basic knowledge of radiation. Material was presented in and easy to understand method for the "non scientific" mind. Prior to the course I was somewhat "uneasy" when hearing the term "radiation". I can’t imagine a better more comprehensive RSO training course. I came back for refresher training and found considerable upgrading of an already fine course. My original training has with stood many tough tests. The refresher provided me with some valuable additional insights following a couple of years experience. I think every new RSO should come back for refresher after a year or so. The relevancy of the course at that point becomes phenomenal! The instruction for this course is outstanding. The faculty have a tremendous breath of practical experience that they bring to the classroom. Excellent group of professionals, excellent course.
