X-ray Machine and Service RegistrationState regulations require the registration of X-ray producing machines. The Radiation Safety Academy can assist you in registering this equipment and in preparing other required documents and reports specified by your State. Many states conduct radiation shielding plan reviews when radiation machines intended for use for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes are installed or relocated. Registrants must submit floor plans, shielding specifications and equipment arrangement of the installation. The Academy can assist you in preparing all documents required by your state regulatory agency. In addition, states require the registration of any person who is engaged in the business of installing or offering to install radiation machines or is engaged in the business of furnishing or offering to furnish radiation machine servicing or services in the State.
